| Project Description: | The project will involve the following work: Replacement of two existing structures over the railroad with a new structure accompanied by numerous retaining walls. The placement of concrete roadway between the Citizen's Bridge and the new bridge over the railroad. The addition of a center turn lane through the West Kittanning business district along with drainage activities, placement of concrete curb gutter, milling of existing roadway, asphalt widening and resurfacing, relocation of Linde Road with a new traffic signal, and the addition of a new traffic signal at the Pony Farm Road intersection. The work will also include the milling and resurfacing of the asphalt roadway from the auto dealership to the Franklin Village Mall, as well as the milling and resurfacing of Pine Hill Road from the bridge to Carter Street. As a side note: The park and ride in front of the Franklin Village Mall will be nearly doubled in size early this summer. |
